Our Story: A Journey of Empowerment
Ondréa L. Burton is the visionary Founder and CEO of Always You, a transformative organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and their families. Inspired by her journey as a mother navigating the complexities of disability services for her daughter, Ondréa is shaping a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
With an esteemed career in the government sector shaping policy and advocacy efforts, Ondréa developed a deep understanding of how systems can be reimagined to create meaningful change. She applied this knowledge to build Always You, an organization committed to providing innovative, technology-driven care and holistic programming that fosters independence, resilience, and inclusion.
At the heart of Always You’s mission is the Pillars of Excellence, a comprehensive framework that empowers participants to build meaningful lives through career readiness, community integration, wellness, and self-expression. Supported by evidence-based practices and cutting-edge technology, the Pillars inspire participants to unlock their potential, develop essential life skills, and embrace personal growth with confidence.
Ondréa’s dedication to families is equally profound. The Caregiver Academy offers a lifeline to caregivers, providing them with essential training, wellness retreats, and resources to build resilience and balance as they support their loved ones. Always You recognizes that when caregivers thrive, families and communities flourish.
Ondréa is also the founding president of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) Pittsburgh Chapter, leveraging this platform to foster global engagement and opportunity. Through this platform, Always You opens doors for participants and members to forge meaningful friendships, cultivate global connections, and immerse themselves in diverse cultures—broadening their perspectives, sparking creativity, and inspiring boundless possibilities.
In addition to her leadership at Always You, Ondréa co-authored The Daring Diaries, a children’s book series inspired by her daughter’s journey. The first book, Crowning Destiny, celebrates inclusion and empowerment through the story of her daughter becoming Homecoming Queen, the first student with a disability to receive this honor at her school.
